Banyan Trees by Jerry Garcia
Jerry loved Hawaii and so many of his greatest works were inspired by his time there. Banyan Trees is a subject he frequently explored. This particular rendering is his most well known and revered. Vibrant colors interleaved into the black ink body of the work captures and evokes the movement in his technique. It is hard not to stare at this work and feel the energy in it.
Jerry Garcia, best known for his work as the lead guitarist and as a vocalist with the Grateful Dead, was also an accomplished visual artist - we are honored to feature his works here at the Jerry Garcia Collection.
